Clean, exfoliated skin helps the wax adhere. Avoid moisturizers or heavy creams the day of, and let hair be about 1/4 inch long. Arrive in comfortable clothing; discuss concerns or sensitivities with your esthetician beforehand.

Sensation varies by person and area, but most clients describe brief discomfort rather than severe pain. We use calming techniques, numbing options on request, and experienced estheticians to make first-time Stomatch waxes as comfortable as possible.

Most clients enjoy smoothness for two to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth and care. Regular waxing can slow regrowth over time and make future sessions less frequent and more effective.

We advise avoiding waxing on fresh sunburn or recent intense tanning, as skin is more sensitive. If tan is fully healed and skin feels normal, a patch test may be recommended to check reaction before full Stomatch waxing.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy sweating, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, wear loose clothing, apply soothing aloe or recommended products, and exfoliate lightly after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.

Many clients with scars or stretch marks can be waxed, but it depends on scar age and sensitivity. We evaluate each area and may avoid or perform a gentle patch test. Tell your esthetician about any surgical history or recent treatments.
