Most clients need between six and ten sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart, depending on hair thickness, skin tone, and hormone factors. A consultation at Leena's Laser Center will determine a personalized treatment plan and estimated session count.

Sensitivity varies, but modern lasers with cooling systems make sessions tolerable for most people. Many describe sensations as snaps or mild heat. Topical numbing is available on request to further reduce discomfort for very sensitive skin.

Common temporary effects include mild redness, swelling, or slight sensitivity that usually resolves within hours to a few days. We provide aftercare guidance to soothe skin and reduce risk of irritation or pigment changes.

Lasers work best on darker, coarser hairs because they absorb the laser energy more effectively. Light or fine hairs may require more sessions or alternative approaches; a consultation will identify the best strategy for your hair type.

Avoid tanning, self-tanners, and sun exposure for at least two weeks prior. Shave the area 24–48 hours before your visit, skip waxing or plucking, and disclose medications or skin conditions during your consultation to ensure safety.

You may see hair shedding one to three weeks after a session, with progressive reduction over subsequent treatments. Noticeable improvement typically appears after two to three sessions, with optimal results after completing the full recommended series.
